The exhibition Lisbon Triumphant: the reconstruction of Lisbon on the triumphal entry of Philip II of Spain in 1581, based on the research by Laura Fernandez-Gonzalez, principal investigator of the project and chief curator, was exhibited at the Matthew Gallery, University of Edinburgh, UK on September 2010. The exhibition consists of the first stage of research into the itinerary, ephemeral architecture and display in Lisbon on the entry of Philip II in 1581. The research is based mostly on architectural input, and therefore this exhibition must be contextualised as an ongoing research project in which the funding will critically affect the enhancement of the visual elements displayed.
